Finally! A Study on Partners of People with Borderline Disorder

THE STUDY IS NOW CLOSED

To my knowledge, until now no one has ever conducted a study looking just at needs of partners, the most numerous group of people looking for help at my online BPD community Welcome to Oz. Doctoral Candidate Nicole Duerod, M.A., is looking to change that. She writes:

I am a doctoral candidate in clinical psychology and I am conducting a study regarding coping strategies of partners of individuals with borderline personality disorder. The link is http://tinyurl.com/partnerstudy.

If you have a borderline partner, I would very much appreciate your help in gathering information on this topic that I hope will provide insight into what works and what doesn't work when trying to resolve and/or reduce conflict with a partner who is suffering from borderline personality disorder.

I am looking for individuals 18 years and older who are currently in a romantic relationship with someone who is either diagnosed with BPD or has symptoms that are indicative of BPD. All information is confidential and remains anonymous.

As a REWARD for your time in taking the survey, I will send you a free PDF of the book High Conflict Couple by Alan E. Fruzzetti, Ph.D. and I will provide you a PDF of the results of the study, as well as a PDF of the book that will be published as a result of the study.

At the end of the survey, you will be prompted to provide an email address (this is optional but necessary to receive the PDFs). The last day to submit the survey will be October 31, 2012.
